Sandmarc Pole for IPhone 15 Pro Max
Purchased from Amazon and it arrived in two days. Very durable very well constructed. Rubber handle is perfect for filming while hiking or really any activity. Pole extends out to two feet and retracts to a foot. The aluminum locking mechanisms on pole extension are really great and provide security. The aluminum IPhone holding bracket slides up and down to snugly hold the phone both horizontal and it can pivot to upright position. The jaws of the holder are rubber which prevents scratching the IPhone, HOWEVER while the bracket can hold IPhones with plastic or rubber cases, it does not old an IPhone with heavy duty Otter cases. I had to remove my Ottrr case and get a plastic case to fit the Sandmarc Pole bracket. Sandmarc makes a very good IPhone case for both Pro Max and Pro IPhone models!
Well designed and made
The Sandmarc pole is well made and easy to use. It is much more robust than standard selfie sticks; even the spring loaded phone holder is made of aluminum and it holds my iPhone 15 Pro Max very securely. When closed, it is compact enough to fit in my shoulder bag; when open, it has enough extension to put the camera well over a crowd of people. The “old school” twist locks for the extension tubes matches the purpose of this pole, performing effortlessly and holding securely. It can also be used as a short monopod by placing the handle on the ground; useful if applying a 2x supplemental lens to the 5x telephoto camera lens. This pole is much more useful if you have a remote (blue tooth) shutter release, allowing you to take photos or start and stop video while the phone is held high (or low). I think it would be even more useful (in my case) if it had an additional 1/4x20 thread in the center of the end of the handle, which would allow for another extension if needed for additional height. Overall, it’s a solid product at an acceptable price.
Nice Package
Good quality,compact, well thought out. I’m excited to try this all out with a trip overseas. Taking my full size DSLR and all the lenses is a lot to carry and keep track of. I think that the Sandmark package that I purchased will provide coverage for most pictures that I would take with my DSLR! Thanks,C.Daly
